1. Seeing thousands of people who think like I do. The combination of money from corporations directed to politicians is my big thing, but the other issues people have there are totally legitimate.
2. Having thousands of people obey specific commands. It’s unfortunate that the city doesn’t let the protesters have amplified speakers. Fuck them. We’ll just come up with our own system.
3. Seeing Mark Ruffalo.
4. Reading a speech by Naomi Klein in the “Occupy Wall Street Journal” paper she gave on Thursday to the group. She’s amazing, I’ve read a couple of her books.
5. Old persons along with young persons screaming next to each other. I’m serious. There were people in their seventies next to kids that are ten.
6. Smelling total B.O.
7. Citizens being there for various reasons. Education, energy, Palestine, health care, workers, taxes, campaign finance. There are so many reasons to protest at this point, there doesn’t need to be a specific goal. Just a show of force.
8. A very small police presence. There was no violence, obviously.
9. Sun!
10. Being part of a movement independent of a political party.
