Follow me here. Sunday is still the weekend, so they should be open. And since it is the “Day of Rest”, shouldn’t you have a glass of wine in your hand? Jesus loved wine, I’m pretty sure he was an alcoholic. Mondays, you’re on edge; you’re ready to kill somebody because of work, therefore, you need a drink to take the edge off. You desperately need liquor stores to be open. By Tuesday, you’re kind of ok, not ready to kill anybody anymore(maybe), but you’re not ready to party yet for the weekend. Wednesday you start thinking of the weekend, so you begin preparing. Maybe hit up a wine store. Thursday, you are probably even drinking heavily, so you need the liquor stores open for sure.
Tuesday is definitely the best day for alcohol-related businesses to be closed. Why don’t businesses think like this?
